This is the monthly transparency report for April 2018. OVPN had one unplanned service interruption and two planned service interruptions during the month of April.
Summary
Throughout the month of April, our VPN servers had an uptime of over 99.5%. In total, the OVPN servers encrypted and anonymized 2951.8 TB of data.
During the month of April, we received 1 request:
- 1 request from authorities regarding fraud
This number will increase as we are including DMCA requests in future transparency reports, hence the new format.
Since we are a no-log VPN, we have never given out any such information.

Our datacenter in Malmö has a maximum capacity of 10 Gbit/s. During the month of April, the traffic load amounted to 2120 Mbit/s on average. During the month of December, we added an additional 3 servers to the Malmö datacenter, bringing the total upp to 7. In March, we added an additional 8 servers, bringing the total up to 15.
The highest traffic spike was 4740 Mbit/s, which represents 47.4% of the maximum capacity. The 95th percentile landed on 3380 Mbit/s, meaning that 95% of the time, the traffic load was below 33.8.% of the maximum capacity.
In total, 671,2 TB TB of data was encrypted and anonymized by the VPN servers in Malmö.
The Malmö datacenter had an uptime of 100% during the month of April.

Our datacenter in Stockholm has a maximum capacity of 20 Gbit/s. During the month of April, the traffic load amounted to 6110 Mbit/s on average. On January 31, we added an additional 8 servers to the Stockholm datacenter, bringing the total up to 20 servers.
The largest recorded traffic spike was 15340 Mbit/s, which represents 76.7% of the maximum capacity. The 95th percentile landed on 9010 Mbit/s, meaning that 95% of the time, the traffic load was below 45.1% of the maximum capacity.
