This is the monthly transparency report for August 2018. OVPN had one unplanned service interruption and zero planned service interruptions during the month of August.
Summary
Throughout the month of August, our VPN servers had an uptime of over 99.5%. In total, the OVPN servers encrypted and anonymized 3299.3 TB of data, which is 84.1 TB more than December 2017 which hold the previous record.
During the month of August, we received 0 request.
This number will increase as we are including received DMCA requests in future transparency reports, hence the new format.
Since we are a no-log VPN, we have never given out any such information.

Our datacenter in Malmö has a maximum capacity of 10 Gbit/s. During the month of August, the traffic load amounted to 2080 Mbit/s on average. During the month of December, we added an additional 3 servers to the Malmö datacenter, bringing the total upp to 7. In March, we added an additional 8 servers, bringing the total up to 15.
The highest traffic spike was 4650 Mbit/s, which represents 46.5% of the maximum capacity. The 95th percentile landed on 3340 Mbit/s, meaning that 95% of the time, the traffic load was below 33.4% of the maximum capacity.
In total, 697.7 TB TB of data was encrypted and anonymized by the VPN servers in Malmö.
