This is the monthly transparency report for February 2019. OVPN had one unplanned service interruption and one planned service interruptions during the month of February.

Summary

Throughout the month of February, our VPN servers had an uptime of over 99.5%. In total, the OVPN servers encrypted and anonymized 3569.3 TB of data.

During the month of February, we received 0 request.

This number will increase as we are including received DMCA requests in future transparency reports, hence the new format.

Since we are a no-log VPN, we have never given out any such information.

Our data center in Malmö has a maximum capacity of 10 Gbit/s. During the month of February, the traffic load amounted to 2240 Mbit/s on average.

The highest traffic spike was 4620 Mbit/s, which represents 46.2% of the maximum capacity. The 95th percentile landed on 3570 Mbit/s, meaning that 95% of the time, the traffic load was below 35.7% of the maximum capacity.

In total, 678.9 TB of data was encrypted and anonymized by the VPN servers in Malmö.

Our data center in Stockholm has a maximum capacity of 25 Gbit/s. During the month of February, the traffic load amounted to 7170 Mbit/s on average. On October 16, we added an additional 5 servers to the Stockholm data center, bringing the total up to 25 servers.

The largest recorded traffic spike was 14.2 Gbit/s, which represents 56.8% of the maximum capacity. The 95th percentile landed on 10.6 Gbit/s, meaning that 95% of the time, the traffic load was below 42.4% of the maximum capacity.

In total, 2.17 PB, meaning 2170 TB of data was encrypted and anonymized by the VPN servers in Stockholm.

We deployed our servers in Gothenburg in August 2018, making February the seventh month the servers have been running. During the month of November we added an additional 3 servers, which means the total capacity in Gothenburg increased from 3 Gbit/s to 6 Gbit/s. However, the traffic load was only 1150 Mbit/s on average in February.

The largest traffic spike recorded was 2600 Mbit/s, which represents 43.3% of the maximum capacity. The 95th percentile landed on 1910 Mbit/s, meaning that 95% of the time, the traffic load was below 31.8% of the maximum capacity.

In total, 347.7 TB of traffic was encrypted and anonymized in the Gothenburg data center.

Gothenburg had an uptime of 100% during February.
